MYCHAL GIVENS GOES TO CINCINNATI

The Cincinnati Reds acquired pitcher Mychal Givens from the Colorado Rockies for pitchers Case Williams and Noah Davis.

What does it give the Cincinnati Reds
The Reds are overhauling their bullpen prior to this year's deadline! After acquiring Luis Cessa and Justin Wilson from the Yankees recently, they now land Givens from Colorado. The latter should mix in well with the other relievers due to his drop-down delivery.

What does it give the Colorado Rockies
The Rockies received two arms in exchange for their veteran reliever, so this deal should help both organizations. Williams is only 19, so he was the key to the deal from a Colorado point of view. Davis is a 24-year-old starter with modest upside.

Fantasy impact
Givens could see a few save opportunities with Cincinnati down the stretch, and he is definitely a holds candidate. He could be worth picking up in deeper formats. Williams and Davis are off the fantasy radar for the time being.
