The Pittsburgh Pirates acquired pitcher Dillon Peters from the Los Angeles Angels for cash.

What does it give the Pittsburgh Pirates
The Pirates are giving Peters another chance. He has started at the big-league level, so perhaps Pittsburgh will also use him as a starter moving forward. Otherwise, they could move him to the bullpen, where he could be used in long relief or as a bulk reliever.

What does it give the Los Angeles Angels
The Angels moved Peters on after he failed to crack the starting rotation the last two seasons. He made 12 starts for the Halos in 2019, but had been toiling in the minors this year. He was recently designated for assignment, so LA will take cash back for Peters.

Fantasy impact
There is no fantasy impact here, as Peters is not a great strikeout pitcher. Ignore him.
