SAM MOLL MOVED TO OAKLAND

The Oakland Athletics acquired pitcher Sam Moll from the Arizona Diamondbacks for cash.

What does it give the Oakland Athletics
The 29-year-old Moll last pitched in the big leagues with Oakland in 2017, so this is a sort of homecoming. He could serve as a situational lefty.

What does it give the Arizona Diamondbacks
The Diamondbacks are struggling mightily in 2021, so they are likely to ship out several veteran players in the coming weeks. Moll was not in their plans.

Moll is not likely to see enough action out of the Oakland bullpen to make an impact. Pass.
