BRAVES BRING IN PITCHER YOAN LOPEZ
The Atlanta Braves acquired pitcher Yoan Lopez from the Arizona Diamondbacks for outfielder Deivi Estrada.
What does it give the Atlanta Braves
The Braves are talking a flier on Lopez, who has had his share of ups and downs as a professional pitcher. For now, he will begin his Atlanta sojourn in the minor leagues but it would not be surprising to see him up with Atlanta fairly soon.
What does it give the Arizona Diamondbacks
The Diamondbacks had recently designated Lopez for assignment, so they did well here to get back a prospect in outfielder Estrada. The latter has the ability to play center field and draw walks at the dish, so there is some upside there.
Fantasy impact
There is no fantasy impact to speak of here, as neither Lopez nor Estrada are going to be in the big leagues right away. Furthermore, neither has any keeper value at this time.
