The Miami Marlins acquired pitcher John Curtiss from the Tampa Bay Rays for first baseman Evan Edwards.

What does it give the Miami Marlins
In Curtiss, the Marlins acquire a right-handed reliever who is coming off a strong 2020 campaign. He looks like a solid addition to what could be an improved bullpen situation in 2021.

What does it give the Tampa Bay Rays
The Rays are constantly replenishing their farm system by sending average big-league talent to other teams for prospects. Edwards is just the latest example. He is a few years away from MLB.

Fantasy impact
Keep an eye on how Curtiss performs with the Marlins early on in 2021. He might become a closer option at some point, although perhaps not right away. As for Edwards, he is not on the keeper radar at this time.
