Castillo signed a minor-league contract with the Twins on Saturday.
Scouting Report
Owns tremendous size (6-3, 240 pounds) for a pitcher in Major League Baseball. Has experience as a closer in the minor leagues. Can dominate via the strikeout when on his game. Lacks some consistency and control, so he needs to get better at repeating his delivery and commanding his pitches in order to become a late-inning option in the big leagues.
Long Range Potential: Big reliever with some upside.
