Atlanta placed Perdomo (elbow) on the 15-day injured list Thursday, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Perdomo (elbow) signed a one-year, non-guaranteed split contract with Atlanta on Thursday.
Extremely tall and rangy, he has the ability to dominate batters at lower levels when on top of his game. Can be used as both a starter and reliever, which adds to his overall value. Because of his towering (6'6") frame, he has frequent bouts of wildness. Needs to become better in tune with his body and repeat his delivery with greater frequency. While his fastball is very good, he must improve both his slider and changeup in order to maximize appearances at the highest level.
Long Range Potential: Huge, versatile but inconsistent left-hander with some upside.
