Hendriks (elbow) signed a two-year, $10 million contract with the Red Sox on Monday, Jen McCaffery and Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic report. The deal includes a mutual option for 2026.
Scouting Report
Pitches with a lot of polish, and usually throws a lot of strikes. Has plenty of guile when on the mound. Can be used as both a starter or reliever but has found his MLB niche pitching out of the bullpen. Does not own an ideal pitchers' frame (6-0), so stamina can be an issue (even as a reliever). Can be far too hittable at the highest level, so he needs to pitch with greater consistency.
Long Range Potential: Decent right-hander.
