Sergachev (leg) won't be available for the opening round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Chris Krenn of the Lightning's official site reports.
Sergachev underwent surgery to repair a fractured tibia and fibula in his left leg Thursday.
Is an excellent skater with good size. Thrives in a sheltered role but is capable of logging more minutes and gaining greater responsibilities. Is an asset on both special teams. Is an elite puck mover who reads plays well but could stand improvement in breaking up rushes at his own blue line. Is physical to the point of being overly aggressive at times, and is still learning his limitations as he moves into his mid-20s.
Long Range Potential: Talented, all-around defenseman with some upside.
