Has tremendous size and strength, and uses both to his advantage--especially when working the boards and protecting the puck. Is never shy about playing a very physical game. Displays some offensive upside, as well. The jury is still out on his long-range scoring upside at the National Hockey League level. While he skates well, he lacks the first-step quickness to really put pressure on opposing defenders. Needs to be more consistent.
