The Finnish puck mover spent a lot of time in North America (he was born in Minnesota) prior to arriving in the professional ranks: he spent parts of two seasons in the USHL before playing three years at Colorado College (NCHC). He later returned home to finnish honing his skills in the Liiga. His offensive instincts are first-rate but he lacks ideal size for the National Hockey League and could stand to add more bulk and get physically stronger for the highest level. He knows how to run a power play from the point position. His passing skills are also exemplary.
Long Range Potential: Solid offensive defenseman with a little upside.
