He was an elite quarterback talent who brought stellar confidence to the field every game. Had a great arm and a tremendous release. He could read defenses well, put zip on deep throws and out routes, and showed excellent touch (knowing how and when to take mustard off on shorter flips to outlet targets). A lack of durability was a major problem for him for much of his NFL career, and kept him from consistently dominating. He additionally would press and force some passes, and could be inconsistent at times. Was not the best scrambler out there and his mobility lessened significantly with age and injuries.
