Was pretty well-rounded and stout against the run. Could rush up the middle, too. Had sneaky athleticism that kept him in most plays. As intense as they came, he never gave up on a play. Worked as hard as anyone, on and off the field. Was not a huge or overpowering physical presence and was not ideally-sized to play the nose position (which he sometimes did). Durability became an issue due to his lack of size.

Long Range Potential: Outstanding, interior defensive lineman.
