A physical and intense defender who had a great nose for the ball. He was a pure playmaker who found ways to finish. Very aware throughout the play, and well-rounded: he would also regularly make plays in the backfield and in pass coverage. He was a little undersized for the linebacker position, which brought obvious challenges against big blockers (and resulted in some wear and tear, especially considering how prolific he was as a tackler).

Long Range Potential: Excellent thumping linebacker, when healthy.
