Scouting Report
Was pretty much the whole package at tight end: a prolific and amazingly dependable, durable receptions machine and a tough, gritty competitor who was all about getting the job done in every facet of the game. He was immensely sure-handed. Blocked well, too. Although one of the most productive receiving tight ends in NFL history, he was never much of a deep threat (which limited his big-play ability, curtailed his touchdown numbers and kept him from regularly stretching the defense).
Long Range Potential: All-around, all-time great tight end.
