Was simply one of the best quarterbacks, ever. Re-wrote the record books. Was without peer at preparing for and reading defenses, and displayed exceptional football knowledge and leadership on and off the field. An outstanding pocket presence, he moved and slid well with a quick release to avoid sacks. Was also a great ambassador for the game of football. Was never a power thrower and his arm was average (at best), so his deep passes often sailed on him. Mistakes, though rare, often came in bunches with him. Was not much of a runner on scrambling plays and got in trouble when he wandered outside the pocket in the National Football League.
