Aiyuk's agent, Ryan Williams of Athletes First, denied reports on social media Sunday that the wide receiver has requested a trade from the 49ers, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
GM John Lynch said Monday that the 49ers have not engaged in trade discussions regarding Aiyuk and that both sides continue to have active talks about a contract extension, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Speed and explosiveness bode well for his prospects of landing a feature role at the top level. A fluid route runner with strong hands, he flaunts the ability to separate and add yards after the catch; he can line up both inside and outside to offer multiple options for game-planning and creating mismatches. A late bloomer in college with scant starting experience, he can struggle with contact and press coverage and may need development time to leverage his full skill set.
Long Range Potential: Dynamic, playmaking wide receiver with upside.
