Amadi signed a contract with the Saints on Tuesday.
Amadi (knee) is active Sunday against the Packers.
At 5'9", he is stocky for a safety but thick and physical with playmaking skills on defense and special teams. Is ideally suited for early-down run support, where he can use his power and hand strength to stuff the gaps. Highly productive in college, he can excel at pass breakups (he registered two pick-sixes as a senior, while adding a punt return touchdown). Is vulnerable on downfield and boundary coverage due to his height deficit; he can be exploited by tall receivers. May have to settle for nickel/blitz packages, the return game and backup duty at the highest level.
Long Range Potential: Versatile, depth defensive back and return man.
