Tennessee plans to sign Awuzie to a three-year contract, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Very athletic: brings truly excellent foot-speed for an NFL defensive back, with good foot quickness for dealing with changes in the action. Fluid and agile moving laterally, and has enough leaping ability to battle opponents in the air. Also brings enough physical bulk to make life hard for opponents, with good strength for an NFL d-back for jamming and bodying receivers. He can be more of a big-play defensive back: would benefit by being a more high-volume tackler, can do more to regularly bust up passes downfield, and is not yet a top-tier interception threat.
Long Range Potential: Highly athletic cover cornerback, with starter tools.
