David has agreed to terms on a one-year, $9 million contract with the Buccaneers to remain in Tampa Bay, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
David contributed nine tackles (seven solo), including a half sack and an additional 1.5 tackles for loss, as well as a defensed pass in the Buccaneers' 34-20 win over the Packers on Sunday.
Busy, productive, and dependable as a run-stopper in the middle of the defense. Has a knack for anticipating where ball-carriers will be. Fast and highly athletic making tackles. Well-rounded: good in pass coverage and can get into the backfield on occasion. Goes sideline to sideline. Lacks ideal bulk for an interior linebacker and sometimes has trouble with tough single blockers; needs to develop more moves shedding. Could use more leverage in his game (as he sometimes gets pushed backward too easily).
Long Range Potential: Great, athletic do-it-all linebacker.
