He quietly developed his game every season, eventually becoming a productive playmaker and tackler in the secondary. He was versatile, and made heads-up plays in whatever role he took on. Possessed above-average athletic tools too (including good anticipation and sudden quickness). Was not adequately sized when playing safety, and he didn't have lights-out open-field speed for cornerback. Could have been more active stepping up against the run (and on the blitz). While an excellent source of pickoffs, he was inconsistent in that department year-to-year.
