Hague joined the Nationals on a minor-league deal Friday, Syracuse.com reports.
Scouting Report
Owns great plate patience and will draw a lot of walks. Mashes left-handed pitching and does not strike out a lot for a big slugger (6-3, 225 pounds) at the minor-league level. Lacks the consistency as a hitter to get more at-bats at the big-league level, so he is reduced to pinch-hitting and platoon roles. Is also not a great fielder at first base, either.
Long Range Potential: Depth first baseman.
