Has an impressive pitchers' frame (6-5, 240 pounds) and the ability to strike batters out at all levels. Is particularly tough on left-handed batters. Injuries have curtailed his career to some extent. Lacks consistency. Tends to serve up a few too many fat pitches when on the bump in MLB.
