Scouting Report
Had excellent power in the minors and was a very solid hitter for average, too. Also displayed a very good throwing arm, as well as good hands. A former catcher, he also had some leadership qualities. His receiving and game-calling skills behind the plate were sub-par, which eventually forced a position switch to first base (which lessened his overall value to Major League Baseball clubs).
Long Range Potential: Decent first baseman.
