Has the ability to rack up excellent strikeout numbers, due to an impressive fastball-change combination. Also boasts the demeanor to pitch late in contests. Walks few batters. Can be a little too hittable, and specifically has trouble keeping the ball in the park when his pitches straighten out. Struggles when used too frequently over time in the bigs.
