Had a wealth of experience at several levels, and even proved capable of pitching late in games in the big leagues. Also boasted a resilient arm. Knew how to pitch. Always lacked consistency when in the big leagues. Could not get by on his stuff alone and was a little too hittable. His arsenal of pitches was limited.
