Hill signed a one-year, $1.8 million contract with the White Sox on Thursday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
Scouting Report
Has an explosive fastball, so he can close out ball games and strike tons of batters out in the minor leagues. Usually throws a lot of striikes, too, so his control is normally pretty good. Injuries have already been a major factor in his development, so he might never be able to fully maximize output in Major League Baseball. Can be a bit too hittable, even in the minors.
Long Range Potential: Power left-hander, when healthy.
