Edwards was designated for assignment by the Royals on Sunday, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.
Scouting Report
A huge physical specimen at 6'6", 265 pounds, he can be an intimidating and dominant reliever on the bump. Already has plenty of quality experience as a closer in the minor leagues. Needs to keep his number of bases on balls to a minimum in order to maximize output as a closer in Major League Baseball. Must also do a better job of keeping the ball down in the zone.
Long Range Potential: Mammoth reliever.
