Marquez (elbow) threw off a mound Friday, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports.
Scouting Report
A solid pitcher, he is a natural strike thrower with pinpoint control and pretty good heat off his fastball. His curve and changeup are also quality offerings. Keeps the ball down as a general rule. When his command is slightly off, he tends to get hit a lot harder (even in the minor leagues). Also, he could stand to add more bulk for better stamina (since he doesn't own ideal size for a pitcher).
Long Range Potential: Solid right-hander with some upside.
