McWilliams signed a minor-league contract with the Cubs on Monday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
Scouting Report
A supremely tall, lanky right-hander, he owns a devastating fastball-slider combination (when he is able to harness and locate his pitches, which is something he struggles with). While he has started in the past, his future lies as a relief specialist out of the bullpen in MLB.
Long Range Potential: Tall, versatile right-hander.
