Shreve signed a minor-league contract with the Rangers on Monday that includes an invitation to spring training.
Scouting Report
Has a projectable 6-3 frame and the ability to strike plenty of batters out in the minor leagues. Is effective against both left-handed and right-handed batters. Can even act as a closer at lower levels. Needs to prove he can consistently get big-league batters out (from either side of the plate). Also needs to fill out in order to gain enough stamina to thrive in Major League Baseball.
Long Range Potential: Decent left-hander.
