Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Sunday he doesn't expect Arroyo, who is also dealing with a wrist injury, to exercise the opt-out in his minor-league contract, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinelreports.
The Brewers reassigned Arroyo to minor-league camp Friday, Sophia Minnaert of Bally Sports Wisconsin reports.
Can hit for average and is also developing home-run power at the plate. Makes consistent contact and does not strike out too much. Can play on the left side of the infield thanks to a strong arm. Could stand to add more bulk and strength in order to maximize his power at the highest level. Also needs to settle into one position in Major League Baseball. Does not steal a ton of bases.
Long Range Potential: Depth infielder.
